It is important for young people to be able to make conscious decisions about their lives, to dominate their lives and to be proactive individuals because the world needs young people. There is a need for young leaders to lead the institutions that shape our future. There is a need for individuals who are conscious and responsive, will contribute to the society, use the resources correctly and produce and ensure human development.
THAT’S WHY THE INVESTMENT IN YOUNG PEOPLE IS VERY VALUABLE; IT’S AN INVESTMENT WHICH WILL SAVE THE WORLD IN RETURN!
Young people are alone when making the most important decisions of their lives and lack the tools that will enable them to make conscious decisions.
In Turkey, where 15% of the population is in the age range of 15-24, 25% of young people are unemployed. Young people in Turkey do not have access to the information and guidance they need when making decisions about their lives. They do not know themselves enough and they do not know the professions and options. Therefore, they have difficulty in determining the professions and areas that are suitable for them. They make the most important decisions of their lives with what they hear around and theoretical knowledge.
On the other hand, the professionals who are directly related to the problem are also looking for the right personnel and the companies calculate the return on their investment. These stakeholders on both sides of the problem are very disconnected from each other. The mechanisms that enable them to come together are very inadequate and unequal.
In the meantime, we have discovered that there is a very serious potential in professional life who want to guide young people voluntarily and many more people than we expected have joined the platform voluntarily. And that has given us strength. People want to share and contribute, but apart from donating, it is not easy to find a format that will not be troublesome in Turkey.
