CHEMISTRY OF YOUTH
Organik Kimya is launching the Chemistry of Youth Project in collaboration with Sivil Toplum için Destek Vakfı and Gelecek Daha Net Gençlik Platformu in order to help young people who want to shape their careers in the chemical sector better know the chemical sector and different professions in this sector and to support their career journeys. With the project, it is aimed that the young people aiming to do a career in the chemical sector get to know their areas of profession in the sector, interact with Organik Kimya Gönüllüler Topluluğu and its employees, receive support in planning their career goals, ensure their professional and personal development, increase their social awareness and sensitivity and increase their motivation to work in the chemical sector.
The first implementation of the project was successfully carried out between July 2021 and June 2022.
The activities to be carried out in the second period of the project are as follows:
1-Mentoring Meetings with the Volunteers of Organik Kimya
A one-on-one and online Mentoring Program, consisting of structured mentoring meetings in order for the volunteers of Organik Kimya to help young people set a roadmap in their career planning and to support them in both professional and personal development areas, will be carried out.
2-Webinar Sessions with the Volunteers of Organik Kimya
In order to contribute to the professional development and personal development of young people, informative and interactive Webinars will be held with respect to Organik Kimya, sector and work-private life balance. In these webinars, the professionals from different departments of Organik Kimya will meet with young people to share knowledge and experience and answer the questions of young people.
3-Promotion of Professions Videos
The Promotion of Professions Videos prepared with professionals working in different departments of Organik Kimya will provide information on topics that young people are curious about with respect to different work areas and units in the sector and career journeys of sector professionals.
4- A Day from the Future Program
With A Day from the Future Internship Program, young people will be able to spend one-on-one time with professionals from different departments of Organik Kimya and learn about the work areas of the sector and professions.

EXPECTED RESULTS OF THE PROJECT
- Increased knowledge of young people about the chemical sector and positions in the sector.
- Introduction of the chemical sector as an employment opportunity for young people aged 18-25 years.
- Ensuring mutual interaction between young people who want to work in related fields and Organik Kimya Volunteers and
- Increasing the sensitivity of young people who want to work in the chemical sector to their environment and society and their awareness of social responsibility.
